Cab — Change Activated Carbon Filter (If Equipped)

CAUTION: It is not permitted to clean activated carbon filters. Activated carbon filters have to be replaced with new ones.

IMPORTANT: Change activated carbon filters every 500 operating hours or once every year at the latest. See "Service the Engine Air Cleaner and Cab Air Filters" in Section 165.

Change cab air filters

  1. Remove covers (A) on both sides.

  2. Remove filter cartridges (B) on both sides.

  3. Clean air filter housing and air passages of dust.

  4. For installation, follow removal procedure in reverse order.

    When positioning the new filter cartridges, make sure that they sit correctly in the provided grooves.

Change recirculation air filter

  1. Remove cover (C).

  2. Remove recirculation air filters (D) on both sides.

  3. Clean air filter housing and air passages of dust.

  4. Install new filter cartridges in reverse order.
