  7. Switch front-wheel drive OFF.
  8. Tow tractor at a maximum speed of 10 km/h (6 mph).

Second situation: Engine is defective or cannot be started.

CAUTION: Without hydraulic pressure, the steering system can only operate in emergency mode. Steering is stiff and slow. The driver of the towing vehicle must bear this in mind and remember to slow down drastically before changing direction.

  1. Attach tractor to towing vehicle.
  2. Switch off the ignition, and place come-home connector in come-home position (see Come-Home Mode in this Section).
  3. Turn ignition ON.
  4. Move the park lock lever to position (C).

  5. If the tractor is towed more than one kilometer (,6 miles), the universal joint shaft has to be removed. To do this, remove screws (A).

    LX1049905-UN-17FEB11

IMPORTANT: If the universal-jointed shaft is not removed, the tires will wear out faster and there will be an adverse effect on steering characteristics.

  6. When towing, select a speed that allows the tractor to be steered safely. NEVER tow faster than 10 km/h (6 mph).
