Service Procedure

The following inspection, adjustment, and service work was performed prior to the delivery of the machine.

1. Fill levels of the following systems were checked and refilled if necessary:

□  1.1 Engine oil*

□  1.2 Transmission and hydraulic oil*

□  1.3 Front-wheel drive axle, oil*

□  1.4 Front PTO, oil (If equipped)*

□  1.5 Coolant

2. Screws and nuts of the following components have been tightened to the specified torque:

□  2.1 Wheels and rims

□  2.2 Additional weights (if equipped)

□  2.3 Front PTO (If equipped)

□  2.4 Front hitch (if equipped)

□  2.5 Front loader, mounting frame (if equipped)

□  3. All grease fittings have been lubricated.

□  15. Transmission shifting mechanism is working properly.

16. PTOs are working properly:

□  16.1 Rear PTO

□  16.2 Front PTO (If equipped)

17. Hitches are working properly:

□  17.1 Rear hitch

□  17.2 Front hitch (if equipped)

□  18. Selective control valves are working properly.

□  19. Trailer hitches are working properly.

□  29. Trailer brake has been checked.

□  30. Diagnostic trouble codes have been accessed, causes rectified and codes deleted.

□  31. Display language, units of measurement, and date have been adjusted according to operator's needs.

□  32. On tractors with aftertreatment (Final Tier 4 / Stage IV), activate automatic exhaust filter cleaning at the instrument panel.

□  33. Depending on tractor model, service intervals set in the instrument panel. See “Periodic Service” in Section 210B.

□  4. Guards and shields have been checked.

□  5. Battery charge checked; battery recharged if necessary.

□  6. Operator's cab controls have all been checked (heater, blower, windshield wiper, and windshield washer).

□  7. Observe the instructions for starting up the air-conditioning system. See Section 210.

□  8. Operator's seat adjustable without any difficulty.

□  9. Seat belts checked.

□  20. Tire pressure has been checked and, if necessary, corrected.

□  21. Front axle toe-in has been checked with tractor fully ballasted; adjust, if necessary.

□  22. Pivoting fenders have been adjusted.

□  23. Steering stops checked and adjusted. Inspection of the clearances when the front-wheel drive axle is pivoted and steering is at the stop. See "Prevent Front Wheel or Fender Contact with Tractor Components" in Section 80.

□  24. Steering system is working properly.

□  34. With John Deere™ radio: Check whether receiver is set to country-specific wave band (tuner band).

□  35. Attach StarFire™ receiver (if equipped).

□  36. Paint has been checked for good condition.

□  37. All warning and information stickers tested.

□  38. The SMV emblem is attached (only for North America).

□  10. Headlights have been adjusted**.

□  11. Lights are working properly.

□  12. Instrument panel gauges and indicator lights are working properly.

□  13. Movement inhibitor is working properly.

□  14. Engine shut-off device is working properly.

□  25. With mechanical multi-function lever, activate dampening function.

□  26. With electrical multi-function lever, adjustments have been checked or calibration has been performed.

□  27. Park lock and park function of trailer air brake valve have been checked.

□  28. Foot brakes and emergency brake have been checked.

39. The following systems have been checked and are free of leaks:

□  39.1 Engine cooling system

□  39.2 Fuel system

□  39.3 Hydraulic system

□  40. All obligatory open product improvement programs must be completed prior to delivering the machine to a customer.

□  41. A test drive has been performed.

* Top up with oil only if oil level is at or below MIN mark.

** Lights checked for compliance with local regulations and adjusted if necessary (also additional headlights, if equipped).
