Clean the Radiator, Condenser and Area Surrounding the Engine
- 4-Cylinder Engines
For good engine operation, as well as for efficient cooling
and air-conditioning, it is also essential to keep the outside of
the components clean.
Remove dirt from the area surrounding the engine and the radiators.

Remove cover (A) at both sides.

Pull screens (B) and (C) (if equipped) to the side and remove
trash.

To facilitate cleaning, pull combined cooler (D) to the side.
Remove trash from radiator (F), transmission oil cooler (E) and combined
cooler (D).

Push the combined cooler back into the guide rails until it
clicks into place.

Re-install screens of combined cooler and radiator.

Install covers (A).

Use a mirror to check the bimetallic spring (G) of the viscous
fan for dirt, and clean if necessary. See "Cooling System - Viscous
Fan, Clean the Bimetallic Spring" in this Section.
