Rear PTO – PTO Automatic Shut-Off Function (If Available)

CAUTION: Accidents can cause severe or fatal injuries. Clothing and body parts can get caught in rotating parts. Do not perform any service work with the engine running. Avoid danger area and only turn on the PTO when there are no people in the danger area. In some situations, the PTO is shut off automatically.

NOTE: An automatic shut-off function may be active under certain preconditions when the rear PTO is in operation. Various scenarios are presented in the following.

Scenarios

    The automatic PTO shut-off function activates if (scenario 1):

  1. Tractor is standing still, PTO is on.
  2. The operator gets off the seat.
  3. Within the next 7 seconds, the PTO stays on and an acoustic alarm sounds.
  4. Different options:
    1. The operator sits down again within 7 seconds - PTO stays ON, acoustic alarm turns OFF.
    2. The operator remains standing - PTO turns OFF automatically after 7 seconds, acoustic alarm turns OFF.

    PTO operation without operator on the operator's seat (Scenario 2):

  1. Tractor is standing still.
  2. The operator turns ON the PTO without being seated on the operator's seat.
  3. The PTO activates and stays ON.

    PTO operation without operator on the operator's seat (scenario 3):

  1. Tractor is standing still.
  2. The operator is on the operator's seat and enables Remote Control Mode by pressing button (A). Indicator light (C) signals that Remote Control Mode is enabled.
  3. The operator can leave the seat and switch the PTO on/off by means of the remote control switch.

    PTO operation without operator on the operator's seat (scenario 4):

  1. Tractor is standing still.
  2. The operator is on the seat and turns ON the PTO.
  3. The operator enables Remote Control Mode by pressing button (A). Indicator light (C) signals that Remote Control Mode is enabled
  4. If the operator leaves the seat, the PTO stays ON and can be controlled with the remote control switch.

    PTO operation without operator on the operator's seat (scenario 5):

  1. Tractor is standing still.
  2. The operator is on the seat and turns ON the PTO.
  3. When the operator leaves the seat, the PTO stays ON and the acoustic alarm goes ON.
  4. Different options:
    1. The operator sits down again within 7 seconds - PTO stays ON, acoustic alarm turns OFF.
    2. The operator remains standing and enables Remote Control Mode by pressing button (A) - PTO remains ON, acoustic alarm goes OFF. The PTO can be controlled with the remote control switch.
    3. The operator remains standing and does NOT enable Remote Control Mode - PTO automatically turns OFF, acoustic alarm turns OFF.
