A - SCV Control Levers

B - Hand Throttle

C - Reverse Drive Lever

D - Key Switch

E - Glow-Plug Indicator Light

CAUTION: Never operate the engine in a closed building. Danger of poisoning!

Before starting the engine, close the hood.

  1. Set selective control valve levers (A) to neutral position.
  2. Use hand throttle (B) to set engine speed to minimum (low idle speed).
  3. Move reverse drive lever (C) into neutral position and engage park lock.
  4. Turn key in key switch (D) one position to the right. Wait until light (E) goes out.
  5. Turn key in key switch (D) clockwise to end position. As soon as engine starts, release key.

Do not operate starting motor for more than 30 seconds at a time. Turn key in key switch to “zero”. Wait at least one minute before attempting to start again.

After starting the engine, wait 2 seconds before operating switches or controls since the electronic system of the tractor is checked.

IMPORTANT: During the warm-up phase, operate the tractor at moderate load only. Once operating temperature has been reached (see temperature indicator), full power becomes available.

NOTE: After a cold start, the engine runs for a limited period of time at high speed. This is normal and helps to bring the engine up to its operating temperature more quickly.
