For the engine to operate properly, it is also essential to
keep the area surrounding the engine clean. Remove accumulations of
trash from the area surrounding the engine.
For efficient cooling and air-conditioning, it is also essential
to keep the outside of the radiator, cooler and condenser clean.
Pull screens (A) and (B) to the side and remove dirt thoroughly.
Pull out condenser (C) to the side. Remove dirt from condenser
(C) or combined cooler (D).
Remove attaching screw (E) and tilt the combined cooler towards
the front. To secure the radiator in the tilted up position, screw
the attaching screw (E) into the hole opposite. Thoroughly remove
dirt from radiator (F).
Move the combined cooler back to its home position and secure
it there with the attaching screw. When re-installing the condenser,
make sure that it is positioned centrally in relation to the combined
cooler and engages in the guide rails properly.
Re-install screens of condenser and radiator.
Use a mirror to check the bimetallic spring (G) of the viscous
fan for dirt, and clean if necessary. See "Cooling System - Viscous
Fan, Cleaning the Bimetallic Spring" in "Service - As Required" Section.
