Engine Air Cleaner - Change the Secondary Element

NOTE: The secondary air cleaner element must be changed no later than at every fourth change of the primary air cleaner element, or every 4500 hours or 5 years.

IMPORTANT: Do not attempt to clean secondary element; only ever replace it with a new one.

Raise the hood.

Release catches (A) and remove cover (B).

Unscrew primary air cleaner element (C) from the cleaner housing.

Unscrew the secondary air cleaner element (D) from the cleaner housing, and replace it.

When re-installing secondary air cleaner element, make sure it is in correct position.

For installation, follow removal procedure in reverse order.

IMPORTANT: Never run the engine without the primary and/or secondary air cleaner element!
