Operating the Radio

Press the BAND button (C) to select FM1, FM2, AM, and WX (Weather).

Press and hold both TUNE/SEEK (D) and BAND to switch between manual tune and seek modes.

Press TUNE/SEEK once to tune to the next higher or lower station. Holding longer than half a second begins the SEEK function.

Press SCAN (E) to scan all stations. When a strong enough signal is found, the station will play for 5 seconds then continue to scan until SCAN is pressed again.

The six preset buttons (H) allow six stations per band to be preset as follows:

• Select the band.
• Tune to desired station.
• Press and hold one of the six preset buttons (H) to store the selected station.
• Repeat procedure for each preset button.

To automatically store the six strongest stations of a selected band, press AUTO (F) until "AUTO" and the "AS" icon appear. Press AUTO again to restore original presets.

Press DISPL/TM SET button (G) to toggle between displays. When the receiver is in AM, FM1, FM2, or WX, the display will toggle between frequency and time of day. When the receiver is in the cassette mode, the display will toggle between TP SIDE1/TP SIDE2 and the time of day.

Adjust Volume, Bass, Treble, Fade, and Balance by pressing and releasing ON/AUDIO knob (B) repeatedly until desired function appears on display. Rotate ON/AUDIO knob for adjustment.
