Replace Engine Air Filters

Clean or replace the primary air filter if the filter indicator light is ON. (See Clean and Inspect Primary filter, in Service/As Required Section.)

NOTE: Replace filter at least once a year or six cleanings, or if air filter indicator remains ON.

Unfasten latch (A) and remove canister (B).

Remove primary filter from canister and clean dirt from inside canister.

IMPORTANT: Do not attempt to clean secondary filter (C).

Replace secondary filter every second or third primary filter change.

Install new secondary filter immediately to prevent dust from entering air intake system.

Remove screws and pull out secondary filter (C) if replacement is required.

Install new filters.

Install canister and fasten latch (A) securely.

IMPORTANT: Do not operate engine without air cleaner or rubber dust unloading valve.

Remove and clean the rubber dust unloading valve (A).
