Remove thermostat cover (A) and clean sealing area. Apply sealant to new gasket and install thermostats and gasket. Tighten cap screws to 48 N·m (35 lb-ft).
IMPORTANT:
Air must be expelled from cooling system when filling system.

Loosen plug (B) in thermostat housing to allow air to escape when filling system.

Close drain cocks again. Fill system with the
specified coolant

Run engine to circulate and mix coolant.
10.
Tighten plug (B) when all air has been expelled. Coolant level should be up to mark on expansion tank.
11.
Add 570 mL (20 oz) of coolant conditioner.
12.
Clean radiator and cooler condenser. Straighten any bent fins. (See Clean Grille Screens, Radiator, and Oil Cooler Condenser in Service/As Required Section.)
