Operating the PTO
CAUTION:
Avoid personal injury. STOP THE ENGINE and allow the PTO driveline to stop before making adjustments, connections, or before cleaning PTO-driven equipment.
Always disengage the PTO when not in use.
NOTE:
PTO and Service Alert indicator lights will flash for 5 seconds with an audible warning signal if operator leaves seat with PTO engaged. PTO does not disengage while operator is absent from the seat.
PTO can be engaged or disengaged without operating the clutch.
Tractors with Cabs
Push down and forward on PTO switch (A) to engage PTO clutch. Indicator on display panel will show PTO engagement.
Pull switch back to disengage PTO clutch. (PTO brake will engage automatically).
Open Station Tractors
Lift and turn rotary switch (B) clockwise to engage PTO.
Push down on rotary switch to disengage PTO.
NOTE:
If the engine is stopped and then restarted while the PTO is running, the PTO will not operate. Disengage, then engage the PTO switch.
