Testing Coolant

CAUTION: Avoid personal injury. DO NOT remove radiator cap when engine is hot. Stop engine and wait until engine has cooled.

Remove radiator cap access panel and radiator cap (A).

Check coolant using coolant test strips available from your John Deere Dealer.

Add 30 mL per liter (1.0 fl oz per quart) of coolant conditioner if needed. Drain a small amount of coolant from system if conditioner is added.
