Checking MFWD Axle Housing Oil Level

Remove plug (A) and check axle housing oil level. Oil level should be just below plug hole.

NOTE: Use a pipe sealant when installing plug (A).

If oil level is low, remove plug (B) and add oil until level is correct. John Deere HY-GARD oil is recommended. (See MFWD Axle Housing Oil in Fuels, Lubricants, and Coolant Section.)
