Operational Status Codes-Powershift

This section contains a description of all the status codes used in the Powershift transmission control system during operation.

See your John Deere Dealer, if any of these codes appear:

AG,RF30435,2062 -19-01SEP00-1/7

NOTE: Normally, "N" code can be corrected when using proper shifting procedures. Do not contact your John Deere Dealer unless other problems occur.

"N" code indicates an improper forward or reverse shift. Code will appear if a forward or reverse shift from neutral is attempted while tractor is moving or clutch pedal is engaged.

NOTE: Move gear selector to neutral and fully depress clutch pedal to cancel flashing "N".

"TA" status code indicates the control is sensing an improper signal from transmission output speed sensor. Transmission will shift to NEUTRAL position upon clutch engagement, if clutch is depressed. Transmission is operable. The "TA" code will alternately flash with the transmission gear.

"T" series status codes, T1 through T7, identify an electrical component that is not functioning. Transmission will function with status codes T1, T5, T6 and T7 with limitations. The displayed "T" code with number will alternate with transmission gear.

"S" code indicates an integrity error with the indicated solenoid circuit. The "S" will be on the left side and the number 1-9, of the solenoid in question, will display on the right side. All the solenoids will be disabled with an "S" code and transmission is inoperable. Enable mode in first forward will function unless status codes S1, S6 or S8 are displayed. Enable mode in first reverse will function unless status code "S2" is displayed.

"PP" status code will appear when transmission is in neutral and supply voltage is below 10.4 volts. The transmission is inoperable. However, the Enable mode WILL function.

"I" series status codes indicate an internal defect in the control circuitry. The "I" series includes "I 1" -"I 6" and will display on the range indicator. The transmission is not operable. However, the Enable mode WILL function.
