Changing Transmission and Axle Oil-12-Speed SyncroTransmission and 24-Speed POWRSYNC Transmission

SERVICE INTERVAL - 1500 HOURS

 

IMPORTANT: Prevent premature axle failure. Carefully follow drain and fill procedure.

Remove plug (A) and drain transmission with tractor on level ground.

Remove plug (B) and clean sump screen.

Drain both axles (three plugs on each axle) (C) and (D).

Drain PTO drop box, if equipped.

Install all drain plugs.

NOTE: Plug (E) is located on the backside of the front axle. Plug (F) is on the front right side of the rear axle.

Remove two axle plugs (E) and (F) for filling purposes.

IMPORTANT: Transmission does not hold the total system oil capacity. Front and rear axles and PTO are included in the system.

Fill transmission with transmission-Hydraulic Oil at fill tube (A). Oil level should be between marks (B) on sight glass.

Put transmission in PARK position and operate engine at 2100 rpm, to pump oil to axles. Stop engine when oil is at mark (C).

Add oil again until oil level reaches marks (B).

Operate engine at low rpm until oil flows from open ports (D) and (E).

Stop engine and install plugs (D) and (E). Allow 5 minutes for oil level to stabilize.

Again fill transmission to the lower full mark (B).

Drive tractor in "B" range at 2100 rpm.

Park tractor on level ground. Allow oil to stabilize for two minutes.

Refill transmission to the lower full mark (B).
