CAUTION:
Under no circumstances should mobile radio antenna be mounted to rear of cab or antenna cable be routed near harness for electrical system controllers or near operator controls. Failure to follow these precautions could expose operator to radio frequency energy levels higher than recommended by American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and/or could cause undesirable performance of electronically controlled systems.
IMPORTANT:
Keep radio, power and antenna cables close to the cab roof to prevent possible interference of tractor electronics.
CAUTION:
Prevent possible personal injury. Disconnect battery ground cable before any electrical repair.
NOTE:
Standard cabs are not mobile radio ready and do not include a mounting plate or wiring harness unless specified when tractor was ordered. See John Deere dealer to install mobile radio.
Install the radio on the two studs of the right-rear cab post.
Install the antenna mount in a hole drilled 178 mm (7 in.) diagonally in from left-front corner on top of cab roof. Attach antenna to the mount.

IMPORTANT:
Antenna base should be grounded. If antenna was not supplied with a ground strap, solder a braided strap to the antenna base and connect opposite end to same ground location as entertainment radio antenna.
Route the antenna cable to the right side through the hole in the black inner roof which is provided for wiring harnesses.
Remove the radio bezel and find the gray insulated wire marked No. 168 and ground wire from the harness.
NOTE:
The gray wire No. 168 is unswitched.
Splice into wires to obtain power for the mobile radio.
Route the antenna cable and power with ground wire from above the inner roof to inside the cab where the radio bezel is installed.
Install the radio bezel after the mobile radio cable and wires are routed.
