Using Sway Blocks

Install sway blocks (A) in lower position to minimize side sway of hitch.

IMPORTANT: Adjusting bumpers without some clearance will cause excessive wear of bumpers and sway blocks.

Adjust bumper (B) to limit the amount of clearance between bumpers and sway blocks.

IMPORTANT: Prevent sway block interference with hitch cylinder hose. Store sway block on same side from which block was removed.

Mount sway blocks (A) in upper position to allow side sway when hitch is lowered. Side sway is prevented when hitch is raised.

IMPORTANT: To prevent draft link interference, be sure distance between tires is greater than:

  • Category 3N Hitch-1.09 m (43 in.)

  • Category 3 Hitch-1.17 m (46 in.)
