Using Sway Blocks

Install sway blocks (A) in lower position to minimize side sway of hitch.

If hitch has too much side sway with sway blocks installed, shims may be added behind bumpers on draft links. Shims are available from your John Deere Dealer.

IMPORTANT: Prevent sway block interference with hitch cylinder hose. Store sway block on same side from which block was removed.

Mount sway blocks (A) in upper position (as shown) to allow side sway when hitch is lowered. Side sway is prevented when hitch is raised.

IMPORTANT: To prevent draft link interference, be sure distance between tires is:

Category 3N Hitch-1.09 m (43 in.)

Category 3 Hitch-1.17 m (46 in.)
