IMPORTANT:
Do not overload tires. If maximum weight shown in chart is not enough for safety, reduce load or install tires with more load capacity.
NOTE:
For tractors with dual rear tires, maximum ballast is not normally limited by tire carrying capacity.
Use appropriate front ballast for a particular operating condition. Two-wheel drive tractors should have only enough ballast to maintain safe steering control. MFWD equipped tractors should have adequate ballast to properly load front wheels.

Adjust ballast as tractor use changes.
For example, adjust ballast when changing from mounted to towed implements.
IMPORTANT:
To extend drive train life and avoid excessive soil compaction and rolling resistance, avoid adding too much ballast. Never add ballast that results in continuous full-power loads below 7th gear.
Remove ballast if tractor engine labors when pulling heavy loads in gears slower than 6th.
