Replacing Alternator Belt

NOTE: Alternator drive belt is equipped with an automatic tensioner which does not require adjustment.

1. Remove left and right rear side shields.

2. Remove air conditioner compressor shield.

3. Rotate tension arm by using 1/2 in. breaker bar.

4. Remove belt from alternator pulley.

5. Relax tension and remove belt from pulley.

6. Loosen top screw and remove lower screw from alternator mounting bracket.

7. Disconnect wiring harness.

8. Replace belt as illustrated.
