Replacing Fuel Filter-Early Version-9120 Single Filter System

SERVICE INTERVAL - 500 HOURS or ANNUALLY *
 
* Interval can vary according to operating conditions

 

1. Thoroughly clean exterior of filter element and filter mounting area.

NOTE: Use a catch pan when draining fuel and also when removing the filter from the tractor.

2. Drain fuel from filter by opening drain valve (A).

3. Close drain.

4. Disconnect sensor connector.

5. Remove separator (B) from filter using a 25 mm wrench before removing filter from tractor.

6. Install separator on replacement filter using new O-ring.

7. Remove old filter from tractor. Additional fuel will drain from the filter housing.

8. Install filler cup (A) on new filter (B).

IMPORTANT: Avoid fuel system contamination. Do not pour fuel directly into filter without the filler cup (A) installed. Injection pump could seize.

9. Fill the filler cup (A) twice with fuel. Filter does not have to be completely full.

10. Remove and dispose of filler cup.

11. Install new filter (A) on tractor. Hand tighten plus an additional quarter of a turn.

12. Connect sensor connector (B) tucking wiring harness behind filter.

13. Start tractor.
