Using Bumper Blocks

Adjusting

Bumper blocks (A) are located on draft arms and are used to limit amount of hitch sway.

Loosen lock nut (B) and slide bumper block (A) forward or rearward as necessary. Tighten lock nut.

NOTE: If there is not enough adjustment in bumper/spacer blocks to take sway out of hitch, install shims as necessary between bumper/spacer blocks and draft links. Fabricate shims to fit inner curved wall of draft link pocket or see John Deere dealer to purchase shims through service parts. Shims should be made flat and formed to fit tight as bumper block cap screw is tightened. Do not add shims behind sway blocks as it may not allow wedge plate to properly brace bottom end of way blocks.
