Operating Electrohydraulic Multi-Function Control Lever (If Equipped)

IMPORTANT: If electrohydraulic control lever is installed on CommandARM ™ , lever may contact right-hand console if seat is placed in full right-hand swivel position. Check seat swivel as well as seat height and fore-aft adjustment to avoid this contact.

Switch (B) locks lever (A) and 3rd-function buttons (C).

NOTE: Tractors with IVT Transmission; Lock switch on TouchSet panel also locks lever (A) and 3rd-function buttons (C).

    Buttons (C) control 3rd-function hydraulics.

  • Left-Hand Button-Extend/Raise
  • Right-Hand Button-Retract/Lower

Interlock switch actuator (D) prevents accidental movement of the multi-function lever. Lever can operate only when the actuator is open (operator's hand must hold it open). The actuator must be closed, at least once since startup, prior to using any lever function. If the lever is not used for longer than ten minutes with the actuator open, all functions associated with the Multi-Function Control Lever become locked out. To overcome lockout, momentarily remove hand from actuator and allow it to close.

NOTE: IMS Control of functions associated with lever (A) is available without interlock switch actuator open.

  • Pulling lever (A) back raises loader or front hitch.
  • Pushing lever forward lowers loader or front hitch.
  • Lever pushed full forward engages a detent, leaving loader or front hitch in "float" position.
  • Moving lever to left rolls loader bucket back.
  • Moving lever to right dumps loader bucket.

NOTE: Left/right will not provide float function for bucket.

Float position; Once float is applied, the interlock switch actuator is no longer required to remain open.

When using a loader on tractor equipped with:

  • IVT Transmission; Adjust hydraulic system for full flow (setting 9.0-10) and 0 detent time. Do not use timed detent for loader operations. Flow and detent time are adjusted at the TouchSet panel.

  • PQ+ or AQ+ Transmissions; See your John Deere dealer for flow adjustments. Only flow settings are adjusted through diagnostic addresses. Detent time settings are set to 0 and are not adjustable.
