| * 500 hours if PLUS-50 oil and a John Deere filter are used. |
IMPORTANT:
Change engine oil every 250 hours if diesel fuel has a sulfur content greater than 0.5 percent.
1.
Operate engine to warm oil.
2.
Stop engine and remove key.
3.
Put a large catch pan below engine drain plugs (A). Remove plugs to drain oil.
4.
Remove oil filter cover (B) using a 32 mm (1-1/4 in.) wrench.
5.
Remove filter element (C).
6.
Replace O-ring (D).
7.
Install new oil filter and replace filter cover. Tighten to specifications.

8.
Install drain plug after oil has been drained from crankcase.
9.
Refill crankcase with seasonal viscosity grade oil. (See Fuel, Lubricants and Coolant section.)

10.
Start engine and check for leaks.
11.
Stop engine and remove key. Recheck oil level.
