Bleeding Fuel System-6.8 L Engine
1.
Turn key switch to ON position.

Loosen air bleed vent screw (A) two full turns by hand on fuel filter base.

Operate fuel supply pump primer lever (B) until a smooth flow of fuel, free of bubbles, comes out of air bleed vent hole. If primer does not pump fuel, and no resistance is felt, turn the engine slightly with the starter to change the fuel pump cam position.
4.
Tighten bleed plug securely and leave primer lever in the down position.
5.
Start engine and check for leaks. If engine does not start, repeat steps 1-4.
