Check Neutral Start Circuit

Tractors equipped with PowrQuad Plus transmission:

1. Move range shift lever (A) and left-hand reverser lever (B) to neutral.

2. Start the engine and wait 6-7 seconds.

3. Move left-hand reverser lever to forward or reverse , and release.

If lever remains in selected position without being held, neutral start circuit is operating correctly. If lever moves INSTANTLY by itself from forward or reverse to neutral without being moved by hand, neutral start circuit must be repaired immediately by your John Deere dealer.

Repeat test in other direction of travel.

Tractors equipped with IVT

1. Move left-hand reverser lever (A) to forward or reverse.

2. Turn key in main switch as far as it will go to the right. The starter motor must NOT turn over. If it does, see your John Deere dealer immediately.

3. Repeat test in the other direction of travel.
