Stopping Tractor

causym CAUTION: Avoid possible injury from losing control of tractor while operating on a downhill slope. Wheels may lock and skid on slippery downhill slope. Observe the following precautions:

  • Adjust set speed value to a safe downhill operating speed.

  • Place IVT selector in 0 (manual) position . (The higher brake pedal force required in 0 position will help prevent wheel lock and skidding).

  • Do not make major speed reductions with speed control lever.

Stopping and Parking Tractor

causym CAUTION: Avoid possible injury due to losing control of tractor. Couple brake pedals together.

1. Reduce throttle.

2. Depress brake pedals. It is not necessary to depress clutch. Brakes will activate AutoClutch (automatic clutch function inside transmission) to stop tractor.

3. Move speed control lever to minimum speed position.

Stopping Tractor During Repeated Operations

causym CAUTION: Avoid possible injury: braking tractor while maintaining high engine speed will require stronger pressure on brake pedals.

causym CAUTION: Avoid possible injury due to sudden or unexpected acceleration. When brake pedals are released, tractor will automatically accelerate up to last previous operating speed.

When stopping and starting frequently, depress both brake pedals. It is not necessary to depress clutch, let off throttle pressure or move speed control lever. Brakes will activate AutoClutch. Upon releasing brake pedals again, tractor will accelerate back up to last speed setting for speed control lever.
