Using a Booster Battery or Charger

causym CAUTION: Gas given off by batteries is explosive. Keep sparks and flames away from batteries. Before connecting or disconnecting a battery charger, turn charger OFF. Make last connection and first disconnection at a point away from batteries.

IMPORTANT: Be sure polarity is correct before making connections. Reversed polarity will damage electrical system and/or possibly cause a battery explosion.

BOOSTER BATTERY

1. Attach one cable (red) to remote positive terminal (A) of starter and positive terminal of booster battery.

2. Attach the second (black) battery cable to negative terminal of booster battery. Attach other end to ground (B) at tractor frame.

3. Remove ground (B) first when disconnecting.

BATTERY CHARGER

1. Attach positive charger lead to positive remote terminal (A) with charger in OFF position. Attach negative charger lead to negative ground (B) at tractor frame, away from batteries.

2. Switch charger to ON position and charge battery according to charger manufacturers instructions.

3. Switch charger to OFF position. Remove negative charger lead first, then positive lead.
