Shifting the Transmission-24-Speed POWRSYNC
IMPORTANT:
To extend drive train life, avoid ballast exceeding the weight required to provide traction for continuous full power loads at 6.6 km/h (4.1 mph). Remove ballast if tractor engine labors when pulling heavy loads in gears slower than 6.6 km/h (4.1 mph).
Do not
overload engine. Select a gear which will pull the load without undue strain.
If slight increase of throttle causes an increase in engine speed, engine is not overloaded. For light loads, use a higher gear and lower engine speed. This saves fuel and reduces wear. If possible, choose a gear which permits a convenient down shift for difficult areas or turns.
Depress clutch pedal.
Move range shift lever (A) to the desired range.
Move gearshift lever (B) to the desired speed.
NOTE:
Reverse speeds are blocked out when transmission is in "D" range.
Gradually release clutch pedal.
Corner post display shows engine speed, ground speed and Hi/Lo for 24-speed transmission operation.
