Operating the Optional Cassette Tape Player
Switch receiver to ON position.
Insert cassette into slot (A). If radio is playing, press (B) to play the cassette.
Press (C) to play the opposite side of the tape.
Press (D) to rewind.
Press (E) to fast forward.
Press (F) to eject tape.
If receiver detects a defective cassette, "BAD TAPE" will appear on the display and the tape will be ejected.
To use a CD adapter or a cleaning cassette, switch off the bad tape detector as follows:

Turn ignition switch to ON position and receiver OFF.

Press and hold tape button (B) for 5 seconds. Display will read "BAD TAPE DETECT OFF".

Repeat procedure to reactivate bad tape detect. Display will read "BAD TAPE DETECT ON".
After 35 hours of cassette play, the display will read "TP CLEAN".
Clean cassette player as follows:

Switch ignition to ON position and receiver OFF.

Press and hold tape button for 5 seconds. Display will read "BAD TAPE DETECT OFF".

Switch receiver to ON position.

Insert cleaning cassette , following instructions provided.

Reset the Clean Tape Timer by pressing and holding EJECT button for 5 seconds (receiver ON). The display will flash the tape icon and read "TP CLEAN" after 3 seconds and "CLN RST" after 5 seconds.
