General Weight Split Guidelines
Weight split requirements are based on type of implement or attachment being used. A primary consideration is to maintain sufficient weight on front to provide stability and steering security under both field and transport conditions.
IMPORTANT:
This split will vary depending on the application. If heavy drawbar load or hitch-mounted implements are being used, INCREASE the weight on the front to insure stability and steering security.

55/45. 55% on the front idler wheels, and 45% on rear wheels. If heavy hitch mounted implements are used, increase weight on the front to insure steering security and stability. |

Check for proper balance by walking beside the tractor while in operation and visually check to insure the entire contact area of the track is parallel with the soil surface when the implement is in the ground. If there is daylight under the front idler wheel, adjust implement gauge wheels or add more front ballast.
