Attaching PTO-Driven Implement

causym CAUTION: Entanglement in rotating driveline can cause serious injury or death. Stop engine and be sure PTO driveline is stopped before making adjustments, connections, or before cleaning PTO-driven equipment.

Keep PTO shield and driveline shields in place at all times. Make sure rotating shields turn freely. Wear close fitting clothing.

Lock drawbar in center position and remove clevis assembly.

Attach implement to drawbar before connecting PTO shaft. If implement will be connected to quick coupler, be sure drawbar will not interfere.

Connect driveline to PTO shaft. Turn shaft slightly by hand to line up splines. Be sure clevis is in correct position and firmly locked.

Move PTO shield into position for PTO size shaft being used.
