Use following guidelines when attaching and using tractor-mounted spray tanks:
Follow manufacturer's instruction in attaching the spray tank frame to the track frame support. Use holes (A) not being used to support the track frame. Do NOT remove any of the 10 cap screws used to mount the track frame to the frame support. The
only
exception is on 1525 mm (60 in.) tread setting; the inner set of holes in the track frame can be used to attach the spray tank bracket.
Tanks must be centered over the tractor center of gravity. The center of gravity (with 20 front weights) is approximately the front edge (B) of the main track frame support. Without the front weights, the center of
|
gravity is approximately the rear edge (C) of main track frame support.
Tanks should be limited to 1136 L (300 gal) per side.
Front-mounted spray tanks are NOT recommended.
However, if a front-mounted tank must be used, the filled tank should not add any more weight to the front of the tractor than the 20 front weights. An example of a permissible front tank would be a 568 L (150 gal) tank with herbicide, and a center of gravity 610 mm (24 in.) forward of the tractor front weight support.
IMPORTANT:
No front weights may be used in combination with a front-mounted tank.
