Changing Transmission/Hydraulic Oil

Park the tractor on level ground and operate engine to warm oil.
Stop the engine and remove drain plug (A) on bottom of differential case and drain plug (B) on transmission housing.
Reinstall plugs after oil has drained. (See Cleaning Transmission Filter Screen, Cleaning Hydraulic Oil Suction Screen and Draining Clean Oil Reservoir in this section.)
IMPORTANT:
PowerShift control unit must be recalibrated when changing oil from one viscosity to another. See your John Deere Dealer.
Refill with transmission/hydraulic oil specified in Fuels, Lubricants, and Coolant section.

Start and operate engine several minutes. Check for leaks. Stop engine and recheck oil level after a minimum of five minutes. Add oil as necessary.
IMPORTANT:
Change oil in the clean oil reservoir if oil is contaminated with water.
