Driving Tractor on Roads

causym CAUTION: To prevent possible personal injury, always operate flashing warning lights when traveling on a highway or public roads except where prohibited by law.

causym CAUTION: Prevent collisions between other road users, slow-moving tractors with attachments or towed equipment, and self-propelled machines on public roads. Frequently check for traffic from the rear, especially in turns, and use turn signal lights.

Check headlights, flashing warning lights and tail lights before operating tractor on roads. Adjust rear-view mirrors, clean windows and SMV emblem.

Lights -Turn light switch to "ROAD" position, day or night. Always dim headlights for oncoming vehicles. Use turn signals when turning.

Brakes -Avoid hard application of brakes.

Hitch -Set hitch control lever in transport lock position to prevent possible injury or equipment damage from lowering of hitch while transporting.

Remote Cylinders -Push transport lock touch switch on SCV TouchSet monitor to eliminate possibility of lowering an implement during transport by inadvertently bumping the extend/retract lever.
