CAUTION:
Avoid contact with poisonous sulfuric acid in battery electrolyte. Battery acid can burn skin, damage clothing, and cause blindness if splashed into eyes.
To avoid damage to equipment, disconnect negative battery cable first, then disconnect positive battery cable.
1.
Remove battery compartment cover.
2.
Remove battery hold down clamp.
3.
Slide batteries forward.
4.
Disconnect negative battery cables (A), then positive battery cables (B).
5.
Clean terminals and battery posts using a baking soda and water solution.
6.
Remove any corrosion with a terminal brush.
7.
Rinse with clean water and air dry.
8.
Connect positive battery terminals, then connect negative battery terminal.
9.
Apply thin coat of grease to cable ends.
10.
Slide batteries back into compartment and install battery hold down clamp.
11.
Install battery compartment cover.
NOTE:
For optimum battery performance, keep battery terminals clean and tight.
For replacement batteries, follow manufacturer's recommendations.
