Connecting Hydraulic Hoses

1. Back tractor up to implement and connect hitch.

causym CAUTION: Make sure no oil flow is commanded before connecting or disconnecting hydraulic hoses. Failure to perform one of these steps prior to connecting or disconnecting SCV hoses may result in personal injury or damage to equipment.

  • Turn off tractor engine

  • Push Transport Lock Switch

  • SCV lever is in neutral.

2. Push Transport Lock Switch (A).

3. Clean tractor SCVs and area around SCVs and hose ends.

NOTE: When connecting couplers, insure you are connecting to the correct SCV ports by noting the number indicated on the icon button (A) on each SCV. If hose connections are reversed, machine will not respond to system controls. Couplers are designated I through V with I being the bottom coupler. Always connect one-way cylinders to the extend side as indicated by the extend icon (B). When connecting two-way cylinders, the extend side will be the left side. The retract side is the right side as indicated by the retract icon (C).

4. Push extend hose (B) forward until contacting coupler.

5. Pull back on lever (A) while continuing to push forward on hose. This will allow coupler poppet to retract.

6. With hose fully inserted into coupler, release lever allowing it to go back to center position. This will lock hose in place.

7. Push retract hose (C) forward until contacting coupler.

8. Push forward on lever while continuing to push forward on hose. This will allow coupler poppet to retract.

9. With hose fully inserted into coupler, release lever allowing it to go back to center position. This will lock hose in place.

10. Push transport lock switch off.
