Operating the Radio with Optional Cassette Tape or Optional Compact Disc Player

Operating cassette tape player

1. Turn on receiver by depressing button ON (A) button or Power (B).
2. Insert cassette into slot (D). If radio is playing, press (E) to play cassette.
3. Press (F) to play opposite side of tape.
4. Press (G) to rewind.
5. Press (H) to fast forward.
6. Press (C) to eject tape.
7. If receiver detects a defective cassette, "BAD TAPE" will appear on display and tape will be ejected.

Operating compact disc player

1. Turn on receiver by depressing button ON (A) button or Power (B).
2. Insert disc into compact disc slot (D) label side up.
3. Press (N) to forward to next track. Press (O) to reverse to the beginning of the track.
4. Press (I) to repeat the current track. Press (J) for random track selection.
5. Press and hold (K) to fast reverse. Release to play at normal speed.
6. Press (L) to pause the CD. Press (L) again to resume play.
7. Press and hold (M) to fast forward. Release button to play at normal speed.
8. Press (C) to eject CD
9. Press (P) to advance to next track on CD. The CD will play 10 seconds of that track and then play each successive track for 10 seconds. Press (P) again to cancel.
