Extremity Transport Warning Lights

causym CAUTION: Extremity transport warning lights are needed when tractor width exceeds 3.7 m (12 ft). Always use road lights and transport warning lights when operating tractor on a road or highway at night OR during the day. Extremity warning lights alert other vehicles of your extended tractor width.

IMPORTANT: To avoid damage, extremity warning lights can be retracted for single tire operation, for operation in tall brush, or when parking vehicle in storage building.

Extremity transport warning lights operate with hazard light switch "ON" (A) or light switch (B) in "road" position .

Adjust warning lights to a position (C) no more than 400 mm (16 in.) from widest point of tractor.

When turn signal is activated, transport warning light on turning side flashes faster, while opposite side glows solid.

NOTE: Mounting point for each extremity lamp's bracket is a different distance from centerline of tractor. An industry lighting standard specifies that hazard lamps are to be mounted within 400 mm (16 inches) of outside edge of tractor. Therefore the angle of right hand and left hand arms may be different which results in the lights being at different heights. Extremity light arms may appear to be at different angles but do comply with industry standards.
