Checking Transmission/Axle Oil Level-24-Speed POWRSYNC

SERVICE INTERVAL - DAILY OR 10 HOURS

IMPORTANT: Do not move tractor if visible oil level is more than 12 mm (1/2 in.) below center mark (C) with engine off and on level ground. Start engine and perform oil level check.

If oil level is between top full mark (B) and center mark (C) with the engine off, it is permissible to operate the tractor.

Do not operate tractor without oil showing above low oil level mark (D) in the sight gauge.

If axle pressure warning comes on, perform the complete oil level check.

IMPORTANT: To ensure proper shift quality, an oil meeting HY-GARD or JDM J20C specifications must be used.

Shift quality problems and/or transmission damage may occur if the HY-GARD or JDM J20C specifications are not followed.

NOTE: Transmission/Axle oil level indicator is a sight gauge with a "safe" zone. After tractor has been parked on level ground overnight is the best time to check fluid level. Between upper marks on the sight gauge safe zone is considered full.

1. Park tractor on level ground.

NOTE: Use CommandCenter display to check transmission/axle temperature. (See CommandCenter SECTION.)

2. Start tractor engine and warm transmission/axle oil to 30° C (86° F).

3. After oil is at correct temperature, drive to a level surface, shift transmission to Park and set engine speed at 2100 rpm.

IMPORTANT: DO NOT step on brake pedal, which causes oil flow to the rear axles and results in an inaccurate oil level check.

4. Let tractor run for a minimum of 5 minutes at 2100 rpm without applying brakes.

5. After 5 minutes reduce engine speed to 1200 rpm.

6. Let tractor run for a minimum of 3 minutes at 1200 rpm without applying brakes.

7. Reduce engine speed to slow idle and shut tractor engine OFF.

8. Let tractor stand for a minimum of 5 minutes and check transmission sight gauge.

Oil level should be between marks (A) and (B) on the sight gauge.

Add oil at fill tube or drain oil if needed to obtain correct oil level.

NOTE: If oil in sight gauge foamy, proper oil level is at the top of the foamy oil.
