Draining Water Separator
| SERVICE INTERVAL - DAILY OR 10 HOURS |
NOTE:
When separator sensor identifies water in the fuel system, the service alert indicator will flash on the cornerpost display. An alarm will sound for five seconds and a corresponding message appears on the CommandCenter display.
NOTE:
Water in fuel collects in the bottom of the fuel filters. Loosening drain valve nut (A) causes tabs (B) to drop down allowing water to drain.
Turn drain valve (A) on bottom of separator counterclockwise all the way open to drain accumulated water.
For 9230, make sure to turn nut past threads until it drops onto plastic tabs.
NOTE:
The secondary fuel filter drain valve was removed on later 9230 model tractors.
