Replacing Front Grille Flood Light Bulb-High Intensity Discharge (HID) Light-If Equipped
1.
Raise hood.
IMPORTANT:
Hold light socket with other hand while removing retaining clip.
Do not touch bulb with bare hand.
2.
Disconnect wiring harness plug (B).
3.
Press in on side of bulb assembly retainer (C) to release from housing clip (D).
4.
Remove light bulb/starter assembly from housing.
5.
Install replacement bulb/starter assembly and retainer in reverse order of removal.
CAUTION:
Wear gloves and safety glasses when handling the headlight bulbs. Bulb should cool down for three minutes after switching lights off.
The lights must never be operated without a bulb. Dangerous voltage spark-over may occur and cause damage/injury at the connector. See manufacturer's warnings packaged with replacement bulb.
NOTE:
Headlights will need to be adjusted when bulbs are replaced. (See ADJUSTING HEADLIGHTS in this Section.)
