Replacing Transmission/Axle Oil Filters-18-Speed Powershift Transmission

NOTE: The powershift transmission only needs to be recalibrated if transmission shift characteristics change after transmission oil and filter change. See Transmission Calibration procedure in this Section.

A drain pan is recommended for 1.9 L (2 qts) oil spillage when changing the transmission oil filter.

Tractors with standard axles only have a transmission oil filter (A).

Tractors with double reduction axles have both a transmission (A) and axle oil filter (B).

Remove transmission oil filter (A) and axle oil filter (B), if equipped.

Install new filter(s) and tighten one-half turn after gasket contacts filter housing base.

Check transmission oil level and fill as required using HY-GARD JDM J20C Oil ONLY.
