Checking Secondary Hand Brake

Park tractor on a 20 % incline .6 m (2 ft) vertically for every 3.0 m (10 ft) horizontally.

Move shift lever to NEUTRAL position with engine running.

Push secondary brake switch (A) up to engage brake to stop movement.

Release switch position downward to release secondary brake.

Secondary brake system should be repaired immediately by your John Deere Dealer, if tractor does not hold on incline with brake switch on.

Hand brake switch parts should be repaired or replaced immediately if found defective by your John Deere Dealer.
