Implement and Scraper Size Guidelines

IMPORTANT: Under scraper or severe applications, tighten wheel bolts every 2 HOURS until all cap screws turn less than 1/4 turn. Then recheck torque once per day until caps screws turn less than 1/8 turn and remain at 600 N·m (445 lb-ft). For single 76 x 50.00B32 tires refer to Wheel Tires and Treads section of this manual for proper torque procedure.

IMPORTANT: See your John Deere Dealer for John Deere frame reinforcement and front-mounted equipment compatibility.

Towed Scrapers:

Follow manufacturers instruction in attaching and using scraper.

9030 Tractor/Scraper Application Guidelines:

IMPORTANT: Operating tractor with three scrapers requires tractor be equipped with hydraulic trailer brakes. Reference "Towing Loads and Transporting with Ballast" Section of Operator's Manual.

Front-Mounted Implements:

Front frame reinforcement is recommended whenever the tractor has front-mounted dozer blades, used in scraper applications, or is equipped with front frame ballast.

The reinforcement attaches to the underside of the front axle and to the outside of the front frame behind the front axle. See your John Deere Dealer for parts and assistance.

NON-APPROVED USES
 
Scrapers - Without proper tractor/scraper drawbar and frame/axle supports
Tiling Plows - Mounted to tractor frame
Extreme Draft Loads - Requiring two tractors hooked in tandem
Tow Hooks - Adding tow hooks is not an option
