Operating Feed Rollers

  1. Maintain teeth on feed rollers, since sharp or rough edges cause damage to cane.
  2. Make sure that floating rollers are turning freely. Stuck rollers can damage cane or cause choking.
  3. Properly operating rollers ensure well-regulated billet size.
  4. Keep the roller clear of mud and debris. Both of these can cause slippage.
