Track Shoe Inspection Torque

Inspect for loose bolts using this procedure:

1. Mark bolt head and the adjacent surface of the track shoe.

2. Loosen bolt approximately 1/8 of a turn (45°).

3. Tighten bolt until the two marks align.

4. Read the torque at this point. If the torque is below 400 N˙m (300 lb-ft), loosen all four bolts and retighten by the torque-turn method. If the torque is higher, it is acceptable.
