Every 10 Hours or Daily

  1. Clean harvester by blowing with compressed air and remove leaf debris.
  2. Clean daily harvester windshields from ground level with machine off and safety stops in position with a long handle windshield squeegee.
  3. Check the following fluid levels:
    • Engine Oil
    • Hydraulic oil
    • Radiator Coolant
    • Fuel
  4. Inspect the following blades:
    • Basecutter knives
    • Chopper knives
    • Topper blades
    • Primary and secondary extractor blades
  5. Inspect chopper timing.
  6. Check tension and alignment of elevator chain.
  7. Check play of track chain/tire inflation pressure.
  8. Check the fire extinguisher for proper charge.
  9. Check the electrical system for worn or frayed wires.
  10. Check the hydraulic system and the air intake tubing for leaks, missing or loose clamps, kinked hoses and hoses rubbing.
  11. Check Tracks (and other components) for bent, broken, loose or missing parts.
