After the First 100 Operating Hours

  1. Change the following:

    • Oil filters and Engine oil
    • Engine Fuel Filters
    • 30 Micron Fuel Filter
    • Chopper Gearbox Oil
    • Basecutter Gearbox Oil
    • Pump Drive Oil
    • Planetary Final Drive Oil
    • Hydraulic Oil Filters

For locations and instructions, refer to the Service Section of this manual. Inspect all oils when draining. If there is sediment or water in any circuit or component, draining may be required. If metal particles are found, a sample should be sent for analysis. Repairs may be necessary. Both the hydraulic system and the fuel system must be primed after changing the filters or damage will result (See Service Section).

  2. Servicing track rear axle, see “Rear Axle Service” in Service section:

    • Tighten rear axle inner nut to 815 N˙m (600 lb-ft).
    • Tighten rear axle outer locking nut bolts to 50 N˙m (35 lb-ft).
    • Pack rear axle bearings with grease. Fill cavity with grease.
    • Seal rear axle cover with silicone.

  3. Grease the basecutter gearbox leg using a hand pump grease gun.

NOTE: Clean check valve on basecutter leg before greasing legs. If check valve is stopped up grease will damage upper grease seal and go into the basecutter box
